Obstacles on the way of your goals!

If there's something that is taking you away from doing your work, what should you do ? If there's something that stands between you and your goals would you let it take over you. Let it be anything. Simply 'anything'. Will you give your chances to it and see the opportunity fly away or grab it somehow so badly and prove yourself to the world ?

We might come across many different obstacles in this world. Many kind of obstacles which might try to stop us or put a break to us from achieving our true ambitions in life. Unfortunately, it's a true fact that getting away from the obstacle is less tougher compared to identifying 'the obstacle' itself. Because, the one that drags you away from reaching your goals could be something you love / like very much. So how are we going to realize the crux of the situation and handle it accordingly.

First of all I would like to mention that there are two ways with which we can go past the obstacle and reach our goals. First, is to avoid using or dealing with that particular thing very less, so more time could be spent on working towards your life's ambitions. Second, is to move completely out of that particular thing which is holding you from reaching your life time ambitions. But, then again it all depends on that particular situation and obstacle that you are dealing with.

Realizing the obstacle. .

Sometimes we might have habits which we think as we are doing for our leisure / time pass. And, we would in fact be spending very less time on them initially. But, as time goes by we would be a victim for that particular habit without our consciousness. Few good and obvious examples to the current day would be video games, surfing the net , chatting, texting , non-stop serials, games on social networking sites, and of course the big F, I don't like to say this, but our dear FB. :)

We would initially start them off as little things which we would do during our break time. Sometimes some of us wouldn't even like them much in the beginning. But, a reason or two would come in the middle and would make us stick to it more than we usually do. But, everything is fine as long as it's in a certain limit and you don't lose your marks in the mark sheets or lose concentration on your 'work'. But, the moment it goes out of your own control and starts ruling your 'time', I bet it surely is time you got a grip of it.

For an example FB wouldn't have been your favorite thing to do though your other friends kept hanging around it all the time. You would have simply spent very few minutes on it every week. But, a friend would've invited you to use a particular application. You would've simply clicked it 'allowed' to see what it is. But, as you kept playing it and getting progressed through stages you would have realized that it's cooler than what you thought it was. Little by little your valuable time would have been devoted to this very game and later 'game x' would have been the thing you are mostly obsessed with. Is it good or bad? Good as long as it doesn't interfere with your real goals. Bad, as it becomes an addiction and ruins you during your exam days or pulls a few vital marks off your score sheet.

The above was just an instance for an addictive situation amongst today's teen/youth generation. It isn't bad to use them or spend time with them. But, never ever let it rule over you. If you find yourself stuck up in such a situation, it's time you evaluated your best priorities.

If it's difficult to get rid of it..

  • You can set up a certain time table for yourself everyday. And, of course follow it strictly. Reduce the time of usage of that particular habit accordingly. For the first 5-7 days you could give more hours to it, then reduce it by half and hour on the coming 5-7 days and so on until you know it's usage is under limit.

  • If distracting yourself that way is difficult try to find a different hobby(which is related to your work/studies in a different way) which would make you less obsessed with that particular game. It could be anything, pick your choice wisely.

  • If taking it up on your own is difficult for you consult someone who could give you some advise and follow it up. Or you could go about searching for some 'how to' articles online , and yes they come up very useful sometimes.

Overall what that matters is what you make out of your life in a few years. If you are holding yourself from reaching your utmost potential when you started off, no one but you will have to regret it for the rest of your life. An obsession might not make you fail, but it would ruin your optimum potential and 'yourself' in many ways. It's good to analyze today than to worry tomorrow. Good luck with all your dreams!

A Peaceful Mind..!

My strength has fallen down. It's time I gave up everything. A ruined career. Many blotted dreams. Many attempts to fly away from all I have. Many attempts to run away from this very thing called life. Fake attempts. Inside the mind. Many times. Many many times. But, fortunately or unfortunately I never killed myself!

God first gives u a bundle of happinesses. Oodles of successes. And, then he hits you hard 'til the core of the last bit of your strength is almost taken out of you. You are shaken and shaken 'til you almost lose your last breath , but you still don't. That's when the 'true test' starts. Whether you are a warrior of life or a plain simple loser it would be decided at the end of the phase. I am not going to say everybody has gotta experience something exactly similar in their lives. But, hard times are for sure. And, we gotta know when our time comes and be well prepared early -at - hand, so that way we know we ain't going to stumble out at every step that we are put onto test. If we prepared earlier itself, we can survive some tests easily. For the rest we could simply use ad-hoc knowledge. Remember, life's sometimes just like an exam. Except that with no written papers, and nobody would come and say when you have your practicals! ;)

Well, but facing a hard time strongly doesn't always guarantee that you are going to resist with the same amount of strength you have always had before . It all simply depends on the challenges you face, how much stamina you have had and how much of yourself you have put into this fight (mentally). For a simple example look at a sportsman who plays day 'n' night hard on any game. Will he be able to face the challenge freshly, at late night after a hard game (of victory or failure) with the same amount of stamina he had at the beginning of the game. The answer is obviously ''No". When facing life's challenges and problems sometimes we unknowingly lose our inner strength (sometimes something we've developed over many years). And, 'peace' is one most important thing we tend to lose unconsciously (especially if the problem was something that was persisting through a long time ).

As soon as we tend to lose peace we lose everything else which is that we have managed to build around us. Our family life, love , career , the ability to focus on anything properly, our calmness, patience and the list is endless. True. If you have inner peace it is never hard to deal around with anything that comes from the outside. Remember the quote which goes on as " A calm mind can even overcome a storm." Someone who follows by this can always be a winner.

But, how to drag your mind set towards that 'particular' state which would keep u on the balance of everything. To keep light stuff at the light end. To give importance to hard stuff and keep right focus at the right time on the right thing. As far as the good methods (as approved by experts) are concerned ;

* If you are going through a hard time in life ( and you know this is almost a situation that would repeat in a circle for few months or more ) always find out many ways that would motivate you at times of falling down. Especially keep some movies saved in your PC , which will motivate you whenever you are feeling low, or keep any inspirational articles or books which have made you feel better in the past (remember they don't just work for once. Sometimes if they had helped you lift up once they can help you lift yourself up for a lifetime.)

* The above method is good to keep you on track with your work . But, to reach peace you have to try the second level of tasks. Go for meditation, breathing practices , yoga and anything that would bring peace to the mind. May be use different kind of music pieces which bring peace and focus to the mind. Follow this everyday. Breaking the routine never works. And, remember perseverance is the key to success.

* Whenever you feel like giving up, running so low, try to talk out about this with someone. Keeping it to yourself never helps. Or write it down on something like a personal journal (if there's no other way out). It surely does help. But, don't overdo it thus it brings greater amount of pain to you.

* Keep the good things in. Let the bad things out. With your breathing meditation believe all the good things in the universe are diversified towards you and the bad things within you are removed out.

* One of the best medicines in life is 'laughter'. It could cure many diseases than we think it could. So opting a little bit of time from your schedule for a comedy movie , show / book is never a bad idea. It could not only set a perfect curve on a straight face but also bring your mentality down from different state to a complete different atmosphere.

Last but not least. It doesn't matter from what religion you are. Always have faith in GOD the Almighty. A problem doesn't get solved today doesn't mean it is gonna be unsolved forever. Good times and bad times are common in life. The most important lesson to remember is , "God makes us go through valleys and peaks. But, it's in the valleys we learn the best lessons of our lives." So next time when you are going through something tough always remember GOD has put you down through the polisher. Yesterday you were a stone. Tomorrow you will be a Gem :)

Life :: Multiple Goals : One step at a time!

"Life is beautiful! ".. Wishes, Dreams, Goals and Ambitions are like the ingredients that when added, would make our lives, the really beautiful lives as we expect it to be. Our dreams and goals can be many. So many, that ..they all could be, when achieved might not only bring out the best in us, but also would help grow our confidence, the faith we have upon life and other beautiful things like family, relationships , and love.. But, only when the ingredients are added in the right proportion and worked out to so hard (and smoothly at the same time ) until the 'right quality content' from our lives are made out!

This might sound like the most interesting and the easy thing to do for some, while at the same time, it might sound like the toughest and the most impossible thing they've heard, for another few. But, the truth lies in simply one sentence:

"Make one step at a time, everyday , consistently"

Look at life like a beautiful playground. Imagine you wanna play your most favorite games. But, for that there's a little condition. The condition is that there are a million number of colorful pebbles lying on the floor. Your task is to fill them all inside several glass jars that are kept right beside you, defined for each game at the ground. Each time you finish adding a certain number of pebbles inside the jar until it is filled completely, each game of the play ground would be unlocked. And, you'd get to play each one of the games one by one.

The play ground of life is just like that. The games to be unlocked are our dreams and goals that we desire to achieve. When we finish adding each pebble inside the glass jar, we reach a step closer to our goal. But, we might not be able to add all the pebbles inside the jar within one day and fill it. It might take time.. Few weeks, months or a certain number of years depending on the height of the goal we need to achieve, as well as the task that is involved. But, one thing is always certain, if you could keep working every simple step, everyday, continuously with undying determination and unbroken faith, then one day you will be living those dreams once you aspired for! It's like playing that one game after filling the glass jar full, with the pebbles.

One final word for multi- tasking individuals is :

Multi - Tasking could be great. But, there are times when the same thing, if not given proper attention and care might mess up every simple little thing you do. So the best thing to do at those times is;

for an example at the starting of a year, if u wanna do planting, read a certain series of novels , learn a new language, learn to cook Chinese food , do your daily chores , work n etc.. Don't aspire to do everything at once, it would make u tire and you would end up doing only the compulsory ones and would've given up every other wish you had, even before the year ends. So the best thing to do is, divide the year into 4 parts or 3 or etc as per your requirement. If u have divided the year into 4 parts, use the first three months to complete one novel, and learning a new cooking method. Make a timetable so you don't miss any. Always , put the first things first. Once u finish them, divide the weekends or free times on weekdays to your 'little achievements list' and finish every task accordingly. But, make sure you 'keep pace' with your work and keep it consistent. Once the first three months are over you would've achieved what you wanted by then. Keep a book and record what you have done. This would make you feel more accomplished and a happier person :)

Discpline.. How smooth would it make your life ?!

Neatness, Discipline, Organization.. How do all these things help us reach our dreams ?? How do they make us further closer to achieve our goals and targets in life to make us better human beings than what we are. And, leaving how it happens apart, how to make ourselves get used to this kind of thing ?? Uff.. It's so tough trying to make yourself disciplined once you've got used to this lazy-born, swirling in the bed 24*7 kind of personality through all these years. True, our work or education makes us disciplined up to some level. But, are we truly disciplined within ourselves?

How to make us near-perfect human beings who are capable and strong enough to face any troubles in the smoothest way and overcome them ? You might even ask what has 'Discipline' got to do with overcoming troubles ?

Every person on earth has their own life story. Starting from the day we were born 'til who we are now... Therefore, the amount of discipline and organization you have in your life might be somewhat proportional to the amount of disciplinary background that you've been exposed to.
But, it really is not a matter of 'how you've been'. Rather it's always a matter of 'how you'd be' and 'how you are' .. Are you a disciplined person?? How could you assure to the world that you are well disciplined and organized in your day to day work. One way to prove is if you could have a second look at your bedroom or handbag and find that everything is perfectly kept and neatly organized so that you are able to pick up whatever you need right away, then you are disciplined in the basics of life. And, always do remember this. If a person cannot be disciplined in the basics of life, that person can never be disciplined in the high lines when time comes. So be prepared. If your life is otherwise. Start it today. Right here, right now. Nothing is ever too late to begin.

Being well-organized in life helps you outsmart the troubles and woes that enter your life, every time. Because, when you 'are' disciplined, you 'think' disciplined. It's always an easier task for you to come up with solutions to face every problem. Remember, a messy background creates a messy mind-set too. A neat one , otherwise! On the other hand, when things are clattered even we ourselves begin to forget where some important things are kept. Same would be with a clattered mind with disorganized thoughts and actions.

And, all the bad discipline would in the end only squelch you from reaching your goals and victories. So, if you are a 'dreamer' keep reminding yourself, the more disciplined you are the easier it is to reach your goal. The bad the later.. if worst..may be almost never.Because, life's just too short to wait until everything's perfect. Which kind of a life do you think you want ?

So, if your dreams are to touch the sky, make sure you get on the smoothest rainbow! Be disciplined!

A new Beginning..!

If I am to start a new beginning from tomorrow. A refreshment in my life. A new way for me. I would not give up these following things at any point. Because , I believe it is these things that would not only keep me consistently focused on my Goal, but also would keep me living truly each & every moment.

1. I would not forget the lessons that I have learned from my past.

2. I would not forget the mistakes that I have done in my past. And, the lessons I have learned out of them.

3. I would forgive the people who have done anything bad to me. But, will not forget their names.

4. I would not hold any bitterness in myself for it would only spoil me and my happiest moments of life.

5. I would never give up my Strength and Consistency at any point in time.!

6. I would keep in touch will all the good old memories. And, everything about my past that makes me feel good. Through musiq, colors & smell I'd go back in time and enjoy them all, the same way :)

7. No matter where I go I will never forget what I value in life. And, will not compromise them.

8. I will not lose the faith I have upon love & the power of love. For we all are human beings. And, no matter what type of machine-like lives we have, we'd still never overgrow the need of love. And, we cannot pretend to ourselves , at least not beyond a limit . And, Love is the only thing which makes life so special in many ways. So, would keep that drop of love in the corner of my heart no matter what.

9. I will never stop learning until the very end.

10. I would constantly keep myself reminded of all these things.

Happiness & Our Lives..!

why can't we live without being attached to someone.. ? Why can't we just move on without the need for love from something or someone to live this 'thing' called life.. We all aim for success.. good things.. happiness.. But, may be the hard to digest truth is that life is a mixture of both successes and failures.. both good and bad things .. both happy and sad events.. But, we get disappointed , when we face a failure in something, when something bad happens in our lives, when some event which makes us sad takes place.. It is only because our only expectations are the good things to take place without a single failure..

May be failures , bad things and sadness are three things that go together.. Because, when there is a failure or a bad event, the end result is that our mind drifts down to sadness..

But, we must realize that success, good things and happiness are not always entwined together..

If happiness is the outcrop .. And, if we would believe that it could only be reached by achieving success and only and only by the taking place of the so called good things in life.. Then we are not really on the right track of thinking..!

Yes, happiness is something not to be searched for. But, to be realized within. It is within all of us. With a flick of our thoughts we could achieve happiness..

It is simply up to us to realize the best part about our lives.. It is like realizing how lucky we are to have a safe home to live. Have good clothes to wear everyday. Have good food to eat at all three meals.. Have parents, friends, relatives, children & our loved ones that have a part in our lives. How we are blessed with education. Our job. May be the trips that we are able to make. It may seem like that we are talking about the very basic things of life. One might ask "What is so noticeable in it ?.. What is so important about it for us to be happy.."

But, have a look.. just around you.. Not everyone is blessed with such relationships around them.. Our parents still live with us, our good friends, our kids, our loved ones.. You are so blessed if you have them around you..

Home sweet home.. if you really have a shelter to live in. That too with an environment so safe. Then you are one lucky person! Imagine if war taking place near your home every time. And, you hold on to life thinking whether the ending would be now or then.. Fear what would happen to your kids, loved ones.. So think back.. Do you have a home with a safe environment.. you are blessed!

Not everyone in this world have clean and healthy food for all three meals. Not everyone has good clothes to wear all the time. Not everyone everyday enjoy life the way we do , going for shopping, trips, partying.. All that are sometimes not meant for everyone.. Do think about world's poorest countries..How those kids suffer.. Surely we all do have a picture inside our eyes when the sentence.. '3rd world countries' are mentioned.. Just think about them.. Don't you think you are so blessed to be where you are.. and WHO you are of course!

Just think a minute.. Happiness is inside us. It is simply up to us to take it out and make ourselves get surrounded by it..

It may seem a difficult thought at the beginning.. One good way is to Thank The Almighty every night before sleep for all the good things he has blessed you with during that whole day.. After sometime of continuing You surely would start feeling how blessed you are with life..

Now we are all lucky, blessed and happy we can look at life with those happy eyes.. And, just when something goes wrong.. It doesn't mean it's the end.. Think about this.. life is meant to be a mixture of all sort of events.. Life is never perfect. Think about a life where there isn't a single failure.. single bad thing.. Life would be too monotonous.. It would be too boring then.. So every time you face a challenge.. come across a failure remember it's natural.. And, life doesn't end there.. Life is about proving that you CAN.. Someway or the Other..

Life is about realizing the happiness within.. Spreading it everywhere you go..

And, never leave your eyes off your goals. They are meant to be achieved! Stay blessed! :)
